Justice Department Doesn't Like Google Books Settlement 2.0

This just in from The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/05/technology/internet/05publish.html):

"In another blow to Google’s plan to create a giant digital library and bookstore, the Justice Department on Thursday said that a class-action settlement between the company and groups representing authors and publishers had significant legal problems, even after recent revisions."

I have speculated that the Obama Justice Department, after sidetracking the original Google Books settlement with a devastating "Statement of Interest," would be the de facto decider of the fate of Settlement 2.0.

If I was right about that, this settlement is dead.
