Judge Daniels Requests 'Freelance' Status Update From Negotiating Attorneys

Federal Judge George B. Daniels has asked for "a status update from lead plaintiffs." The message from Daniels' clerk says the update, which should be submitted by August 2, "can include the position of other interested parties, or those parties can send their own updates as well."

It is unrealistic to believe that we may have all signatures in by Aug. 2 so that the new agreement may be presented to the judge at that time?

Based on the report from Charles Chalmers, I wouldn't count on August 2 -- the date of the judge's requested status report -- as the date when absolutely everything will be wrapped up. But we seem close.

Once everything is wrapped up, does the judge simply approve it (or not approve)? Or does a specific hearing date have to bet set?

I'm pretty sure there would be a hearing date set, etc.
